VOSHA Emphasis Programs
VOSHA uses emphasis programs, both local and national, as a tool to help focus compliance resources in areas of construction and general industry, that have an elevated hazard (health or safety) exposure. Emphases programs are designed to respond to hazards based on exposure and affect industry and construction groups which operate within these hazard parameters (i.e. National Emphasis Program on trenching affects construction trenching and excavation operators).
In addition to compliance resources, additional training and outreach is available to help affected employers comply with the applicable regulation.
