What are the VOSHA Annual Performance plan and Goals?

The Vermont occupational Safety and Health Administration (VOSHA), annually creates a Performance Plan and Performance Goals. The Annual Performance Plan is derived from the Strategic Plan, which is formulated in conjunction with Federal OSHA, and serves the purpose of providing direction and resource allocation for the fiscal year.

The Annual Performance Plan describes how VOSHA will provide services in the area of three major goals, those goals are;

1)     Reduce Occupational hazards through direct intervention;

2)     Promote safety and health culture through compliance assistance, cooperative programs and strong leadership;

3)     Maximize effectiveness and efficiency by strengthening capabilities and infrastructure.

The Annual Performance Goals provides benchmarks in performance expectations for VOSHA in the upcoming fiscal year. This document is a good indicator of the areas VOSHA will be expending financial, personnel, and programmatic resources in the fiscal year.
